We saw some quite amazing blossoms during our voyage which made most of our home UK indigenous species look comparatively pallid. Here a waterlilly in Hue, Vietnam.

Like the Pacific islands to the north, Australian tree species are generally a bit of a monoculture. Instead of palm trees, they are virtually all of the Eucalypt family. This gum tree with the characteristic bark pattern was seen in a State Park in southern Queensland, Australia.
